German Photomarathon 2021

I got an email today that there will soon be a new photo marathon in Stockholm but it would be more fun to do it in another country or city. I have German visitors on my site every day so this tip is for you!

And let's hope this pandemic disappears soon so we can start traveling again and take the cheap train "Snälltåget" to Berlin, Hamburg or Hannover..

When I counted my list of all the world photomarathons, there were 25 in Germany alone "wow"..

Stockholm Fotomaraton

The Stockholm Fotomaraton is a photography event for photographers of all ages, backgrounds and skill levels, who enjoy the process and challenge of finding creative photographic interpretations of the year’s themes. The Stockholm Photo Marathon is an 8-hour event where participants interpret a series of challenging themes in a certain order and within a certain time.

Every four hours, participants must show up at a check point somewhere in Stockholm. There, participants get their next 6 themes to work on. All photos must be taken in order.

– Do you like photography?

– Do you have a camera? (or smartphone)

Do you want to challenge yourself to find creative solutions?

If your answer is yes, the Stockholm Photo Marathon is just the thing for you!

Polaroid Sprint by Stockholm Fotomaraton!

On March 28 Stockholm Fotomaraton together with Focus Nordic will host a Polaroid sprint at Stockholm Fotomässan.

5 hours - 4 themes - and a really fun day awaits!

Don't you have a Polaroid camera?
Then you can borrow one, we have a limited number of cameras witch means first come, first served. You can reserv the camera when you sign up for the event.

You can join or cancel the event throughout the day, which means it's okay to participate only in certain themes. See the schedule below for more information.

The winner of each theme will be announced on Sunday, March 29, where you can expect some really nice prices!

Price for the Polariod sprint:
SEK 80 - ticket for participation and loan of camera.
SEK 50 - ticket for participation, using your own camera.

This is a super fun thing and wish I could join but I guess that I´m working this day. Play more with photos is what we all need and polaroid is the best - Analogue Love ♥

I saw this poster for "Photo Marathon" Stockholm 2018 and it would be so fun!!

CHECKLIST 2018

Now it its less than one weeks remaining. Here is a checklist with some recommendations for the participants!

Camera and gadgets.

Check time and date settings.

Choose the picture format JPG and ONLY JPG (no RAW-files will be accepted)

Empty the memory card, and format it in camera. Also note that we ask you to not use Eye-fi Sd cards.

Filters

Tripod

Cleaning-kit for the camera

External Flash?

Fully charged batteries to the camera

Fully charged batteries to the flash

Spare batteries/charger.

Camera Settings

Make sure to read up on the night settings, low light.

Check picture styles, sepia, black & white etc.

Check self timer. (Particularly good in low light conditions)

Getting around

Good shoes

A bike? Lights, helmet, lock.

Ticket to the busses and subway. You can get a 24 hour ticket at the closest 7-Eleven.

Map over Stockholm

Google Maps on your phone.

Basics

Water or something to drink

Snacks (Energy-bars, nuts or something)

ID or Passport.

Your ticket available on your phone or on paper

Charge the battery, make sure you have a working sim card

Set alarms on: 15.00, 19.00, 23.00, 03.00, 07.00, 11.00 as a reminder of the checkpoints.
