Shutter - 150 years of police photography

Shutter
Experience pictures, crimes and stories. Meet the people in front of and behind the police camera in the Police Museum's new exhibition of 150 years of police photography.
The trigger tells how the camera could become one of the police's most important tools for solving crimes, but is equally about some of all the people who have been photographed by the police over the past 150 years. Look at some of Sweden's first "mugshots" and see crime scene photos and objects from notable Swedish crime cases.

The shutter shows more than 600 police photos. From the first simple portrait of prisoners to professional crime scene photography and to today's digital surveillance and police body-worn cameras.

Police Museum welcomes all visitors
Museivägen 7, in the Gärdet district beside Tekniska Museet in Stockholm.
Tuesday – Friday 12 noon–5 p.m.
Saturday – Sunday 11 a.m.–5 p.m.
Monday – closed

I love mugshots and have Al Pacino´s in my kitchen from 1961 (prints by my brother Peter).
