Here we go again - Olympus Mju 1

Cameras are my drug and I bought a super used camera today on an auction site for 10 EUR with the description = Color splashes are present on the camera body and the lens hood does not lock in the closed position. For that price I had to see if I can get the camera to work. He hadn't used it for 20 years so let's see when I get it next week.

Olympus Mju 1 is a good and fun compact camera that I should not have sold in the first place.

Pictures from Olympus Mju I (Quartz Date)

This is some of the test pictures from FisksÀtra. The first thing I missed was that this was a "quartz date" model of the Mju I and the date was not set (89-03-17) and can be seen in all pictures. But I think there were only three pictures on this roll that were crap and it was 100% my fault.

I did not think I would like this camera as much as I do now. Used a roll of Fujifilm Superia X-TRA 400. Next roll I need to see if it's any good to take portraits with.

This weeks camera is Olympus TRIP 35

Olympus TRIP 35 is a compact full-size EE camera based on the Pen EES. It went on sale in 1968. The name reflects its suitability as a convenient camera to take on trips.

Most of my child pictures were taken with this camera and since it is Mother's Day on Sunday, I will take pictures with it as a tribute to my mom. 36 pictures of flowers. Now she has vascular dementia and lives in a home, but pictures of flowers will make her smileđŸŒ»

First roll with the with Mju I

I have now taken my first film roll with MjuI. But I have big problems with the shutter button. I press too hard and it takes the picture immediately. I'm probably to strong.

All the reviews I have seen now after I used it say that it is so easy with the shutter so I think all my close-ups will be ruined. But I love the feelning to hold it so if I get ok pictures this will be a fun camera to have in my back pack. What I love most with film is that you have to stop, paus and really think befor you shoot. Its so expensive with film now and you only have 36 pics at a time.

Olympus Pen EE-2 from 1968

Olympus Pen EE-2 from 1968, a half-format camera, which means that a standard roll of 36 images is doubled to 72. I love the look of this camera!

I'm just starting to bid on this camera. I think I need it for my new project with lots of analog love.

One week with Olympus Mju I

Today I started taking pictures with this week's camera "Olympus Mju I"
When I put in the film I did not notice that the year on the camera was not quite right. I do not want to go back in time to -89.

Next Monday, I will go with the film to the lab and the next camera will be tested and I have a lot of cameras.

My new Olympus Mju I

When you buy a used cameras online, you never know what you will get, no matter what the ad says. My Olympus camera came without the plastic back window so there were just a hole. I have used a black electrical tape and the camera seems to think it is perfectly ok.

I'm going to test a film roll this week and the theme is love.. No that was a bad joke "my stockholm" is much better one.

Why do all love Olympus Mju?

I have to find out why people love this little camera "Olympus Mju" and the only way to do that is to get one myself. So I bought one today as a birthday present to myself. I miss taking pictures with film and with a camera like this I do not have to think about anything - Just point and shoot!
