Agfa Optima self portrait

Old picture from an Agfa Optima from the 60s that I took 2016. On this roll I also took pictures when I was sick and after an operation but I don't want to show them because they bring up too many bad memories but now I'm fine.

My new film Rollei Retro 400S

So my Agfa Optima Ia is loaded with a Rolleri Retro 400S and it's the day I will start my project.

Rollei Retro 400S is a fast, fine-grained panchromatic black and white film with an ISO of 400/27°. A great general purpose film, but also suitable for almost any professional assignment. It features excellent sharpness and contrast as well as high edge sharpness. Coated onto a modern clear synthetic polyester film base (PE) which allows for better/easier scanning.

Analog Love.. Diana 151, Click-I, Uni-Fex, Bilora Bella and Zeiss Ikon Nettar

Today I got a super package at the post office. 11 new cameras from an auction and it is pure analog love.

Diana 151, Click-I, Uni-Fex, Bilora Bella. Zeiss Ikon Nettar, Kodak brownie Fiesta, Agfa Silette SL and Ilford Sporti 6. Will go through the cameras one by one to the weekend and take pictures.

So Mamiya, Brownie, Starflex, Bilbora Stal Box, Slomexa, Hexi, Agfa Optima, Smena 8, Nikon F2 or the Clack? Who will be the winner for this weekend and my Analog Love films?! Lomography.. in both 120 and 35mm.

And I could not resist the ILFORD HP5 PLUS single-use film camera just for fun. Complete with a flash for low light situations. It contains ILFORD HP5 PLUS black and white film giving up to 27 exposures.. I'm a bit hopeless...

Lots of test rolls and music with Madness

Home after my surgery. I took my Agfa and photographed before and after the hospital. So now finally both of my Agfa cameras are tested. Next week I'll send all the autumn test rolls to the lab from all the cameras.

But all I can do now is to rest, plan photo shoots and dream..

No music pictures for me for a while but I put a film in my beautiful Agfa "clack" camera for some nature photography at Drottningholm palace tomorrow morning.

I hope for fog at sunrise and that can be quite ok start to my day in black and white (before I get to work)

My new Clack camera 1954-65

The Clack camera was manufactured by Agfa 1954-65. Earlier models had a metal body, later ones were made of plastic. This one is a plastic model from the 60´s and so beautiful!

It is a simple, boxlike camera, with a single-element 95mm meniscus lens with built-in close-up lens and yellow filter. It takes 6×9 cm pictures on 120 film.

Aperture f/11 and f/12.5
Shutter about 1/30 plus B
Zone focusing with two steps: 1-3m (3-10 feet) with a built-in close-up lens.
3m (10 feet)-infinity with just an aperture ring between the lens and the film.

The Clack is a light viewfinder camera. It works great with ISO 50 slide films like Velvia, so use it while you can still get that film. Black and white ISO 50 films, and overexposing 100 speed color negative by one stop ought to be fine.

Will be fun to try out my new little beauty!

Vintage cars with my Agfa cameras

I had seen a sign that there would be an event with classic cars yesterday. And I could not go there when I'm still don't feel so good.
So I went to the road with a few cameras to test them. Took a roll of film with Optima 1A and a roll with my new Agfa Super Silette - L. Realized pretty soon that it was a bit of a nightmare ..

One minute it was clouds and next full sunshine and strong cold winds.  A bit hard when the cameras are completely manual and you have set the meter distance. Much to think about and then the high speed of the cars. Will be happy if some image has focus at the right place.

Luckily, I also took with me my Fujifilm X-Pro1 to document. So the pictures I posted are with my digital camera.

Super Silette L from 1958

My new camera: Agfa - Super Silette L.
It is a 35mm film rangefinder camera made by Agfa and introduced in 1958. It belongs to the long lasting Silette series.

It was new model Agfa Super Silette with flat top housing. It has coupled rangefinder and uncoupled Selenium cell lightmeter. Lens is Agfa Color-Solinar 50mm f/2.8 in Synchro-Compur shutter.

I love that the light meter still works and the sound when taking a picture. I want to test it as soon as possible with film. Thanks Werner for the camera!
