First roll with the with Mju I..

I have now taken my first film roll with MjuI. But I have big problems with the shutter button. I press too hard and it takes the picture immediately. I'm probably to strong.

All the reviews I have seen now after I used it say that it is so easy with the shutter so I think all my close-ups will be ruined. But I love the feelning to hold it so if I get ok pictures this will be a fun camera to have in my back pack. What I love most with film is that you have to stop, paus and really think befor you shoot. Its so expensive with film now and you only have 36 pics at a time.

Olympus Pen EE-2 from 1968

Olympus Pen EE-2 from 1968, a half-format camera, which means that a standard roll of 36 images is doubled to 72. I love the look of this camera!

I'm just starting to bid on this camera. I think I need it for my new project with lots of analog love.

One week with Olympus Mju I

Today I started taking pictures with this week's camera "Olympus Mju I"
When I put in the film I did not notice that the year on the camera was not quite right. I do not want to go back in time to -89.

Next Monday, I will go with the film to the lab and the next camera will be tested and I have a lot of cameras.

I'm facing a new big challenge

So it's a good time to go back to the beginning - it was about analog photography and my passion for cameras.

Instead of ending this blog (as I often say when I feel bad) I will try to test a camera every week. This weeks camera will be Olympus Mju1 and will get back with some pictures and a review.

I have a fridge full of film so is perfect project to think of other things than work.

Lucky we have coffee

What would we do without coffee?

Finland is at the top for drinking the most coffee in the world but Sweden are at top 6 and I would not be able to get up in the morning if I did not get a cup or two. I found this cute sticker on town.

The Countries That Drink The Most Coffee
Finland - 26.5 lbs per capita.
Norway - 21.8 lbs.
Iceland - 19.8 lbs.
Denmark - 19.18 lbs.
Netherlands - 18.5 lbs.
Sweden - 18 lbs.
Switzerland - 17.4 lbs.
Belgium - 14.9 lbs.

More time to photograph

Soon time for a few days off from work with Easter. That means it's time to take all the pictures I'm behind on my 52 week challenge. Love, happiness, portraits, laughter and this week's theme which is rule of thirds.

For me this is one of the best way to disconnect my brain from work on a lunch break or on my way home.

Ilford Sprite 35-II

The Ilford Sprite 35-II a fun and affordable way to jump into analogue photography!

There are plenty of good reasons why some love the authentic look and feel of film-generated photographs; there’s also the discipline of having only 24 or 36 exposures to work with, and the anticipation of having a roll developed. Then there’s the desire to slow down from the relentless pace of digital technology and instant gratification

Back in the 1960s, few cameras were easier to use and more affordable than the Sprite 35. Forget shutter speeds, aperture, or light meters - just load a roll of film, hit the shutter button, and press the film lever. It was an attractive camera for people who wanted to capture a few snaps without fussing about the right settings.

The Ilford Sprite 35-II continues that heritage and will meet the needs of people experimenting with 35mm film and looking for a camera that’s ‘no frills’ simple. It's a step up from disposable cameras, and being re-usable, it will not create extra waste.

The camera has a fixed shutter speed (1 / 120s) with a 31mm, single element f9 fixed-focus wide-angle lens, perfect for capturing most well-focused daylight scenes, and also features a built-in flash with a 15-second recycle time for night time shooting.

Users can load the Sprite 35-II with their favorite film, whether its color negative or black and white, allowing them to capture quick snapshots or moody monochrome scenes. The camera has a manual film advance winding lever to move through each exposure and rewind the roll when the film is finished.

It's extremely lightweight and compact, weighing just 122 grams, with dimensions of 119mm (W) x 67 (H) mm x 44mm (D). It will be available in Black and Black & Silver versions.

And I hope they release a yellow and blue version!

💛💙
