Stockholm Fotomaraton 2022

Today was the ticket release for the Stockholm Photo Marathon 2022. I bought a ticket for both analog and digital. 24 hours with themes and this will be in August. My plan is to use my Fujifilm X- T2 and my Lomo LC - A+.

We still have to see what happened to the war that is now going on in Europe. I also gave the sum that the Photo Marathon cost to the Red Cross in Ukraine.

New Fujifilm Lenses - Sigma 16, 30 & 56mm

Sigma has releasad new lenses for Fujifilm X. 16, 30 & 56mm and that's a super good thing because I love my Fuji camera. My Fujifilm X-T2 needs a portrait lens. I do not have the money for a new Fujifilm lens and right now I only have a 35mm (super lens) and my old vintage lenses from Nikon. Still want a lens for portraits that I do not have to use manual - I´m almost blind.

I will look more at Sigma lenses as soon as they come out in stores.

“Troubled Waters” by French artistic duo Pierre et Gilles

For the first time, French artistic duo Pierre et Gilles are exhibiting in Sweden.  

For, the artists have seized upon the old harbor setting around Spritmuseum. The romantic image of the sea, the harbor and the sailing life are contrasted with the overexploitation of our era, which threatens to exterminate all marine life.

The now world-famous artists first met in 1976 and have lived together ever since, creating an extravagant artistic universe in which photography and painting meet. Their iconic portraits are inhabited by friends and celebrities in magnificent, dramatically lit scenes which they build up at full scale using items from their enormous collection of curios and found objects. The images are packed with symbols and references to films and pop music, religion and mythology, folk tales and burlesques, even pornography. With finely honed craft, Pierre et Gilles have created a spectacular iconography in the borderlands between art history and popular culture.

Pierre et Gilles are represented at Spritmuseum in the Absolut Art Collection with “Absolut Pierre et Gilles (Lola)” from 1993.

Should I make a studio?

Sometimes I buy without thinking. I have an auction site that I sell from which I sometimes unfortunately also buy from. Today I was looking for a light box and not this. 

These backgrounds and lights cost me nothing but when will I be able to use them? 

I love natural light so why make a studio at home. I know this was low budget stuff but will be fun to try. Maybe for days like tomorrow when it will snow. Just wish I my appartment was a big one.

My new Olympus Mju I

 

When you buy a used cameras online, you never know what you will get, no matter what the ad says. My Olympus camera came without the plastic back window so there were just a hole. I have used a black electrical tape and the camera seems to think it is perfectly ok.

I'm going to test a film roll this week and the theme is love.. No that was a bad joke "my stockholm" is much better one.

My plan was to take a classic sunset pic but was happy when I looked under a bridge with the golden light from the sunset.

I am 2 weeks behind with my challenge but have just had covid and now pneumonia so I am not in a hurry to catch up. Do not want to take any crappy pictures just for the sake that I have to. 

My plan is that I will be catching up next weeks. Sunset + Love.. ❤

Why do all love Olympus Mju?

I have to find out why people love this little camera "Olympus Mju" and the only way to do that is to get one myself. So I bought one today as a birthday present to myself. I miss taking pictures with film and with a camera like this I do not have to think about anything - Just point and shoot!
