Looking for new film to your camera?

Yesterday I got some new film. It was my summer present to myself so I can start my project. Street portraits and shoot both digital and analog. The analog pics I will save for an exhibition and the digital I will post on the blog.

All started with that I found a new company online Kamera Stockholm that selling some of the films that I have been looking for. For me, this is a dangerous site. They have Nikon stuff that I want, like the Nikon F, other old cameras and beautiful camera bags.

A new film - Neopan 100 Acros II ❤

So I find this nice info on the net this morning - new Neopan is coming. Neopan was the first film that I used over and over again. I think all the releases of film rolls are a nice step. Let's go back to film photography.

TOKYO, June 10, 2019 – FUJIFILM Corporation (President: Kenji Sukeno) announced a new generation of NEOPAN 100 ACROS II, black-and-white film. This 100 ISO film will deliver unsurpassed resolution, fine grain and sharpness, with exceptional detail satisfying a broad range of shooting scenarios and exposures. The 35mm and 120 format film will be introduced in Japan this fall, with other markets to follow, based upon demand.

As the demand for film rapidly decreased over the past decade and raw materials became difficult to obtain, it caused the company to discontinue marketing black and white film. Thanks to consumer feedback, particularly from millennials and GenZs, who have become the new film enthusiasts, the market is changing once again. To meet the needs of this new market, Fujifilm is reviving “ACROS II”.

NEOPAN 100 ACROS II employs Fujifilm’s proprietary Super Fine-Σ technology along with ISO 100. This results in unsurpassed fine grain, sharpness and exceptional three-dimensional gradation even in bright highlights, when compared with the original NEOPAN 100 ACROS.

As a leading company in the imaging field, Fujifilm will never stop meeting the challenges of the diverse needs of customers in a wide range of fields, from analog to digital, and continue to provide improved products and services.

This is not the new Acros film but I like this video.

More Irving Penn!

More Irving Penn!

More works by the photographer Irving Penn have been added to the Moderna Museet collection, thanks to a donation from the Irving Penn Foundation. You can see them on display in the collection from Friday, 5 April.
The eight donated photographs are from the first years of the 2000s, and they are a fantastic complement to the 100 works already in the collection. A newly installed gallery at the Museum features some 30 works by Penn, some from the recent donation and some that were already in the Moderna Museet collection.

The photographer Irving Penn (1917–2009) had a long and successful career. He has inspired many others with his photographs and his approach. Penn worked for the fashion magazine ”Vogue” from the mid-1940s and he attended the haute couture shows in Paris every year until the late 1970s.

I always loved Irving's work so this is a place to visit this summer!

Vincent Peters at Fotografiska and music with Absolute Body Control

Today I saw an ad for Fotografiska - Vincent Peters. Would anyone care if it wasn't celebrities he photographed? Ok, I had a bad day and I do want to see the photographs, they look classic and black and white is my favorite.

EXHIBITION
Vincent Peters
Light Within
24 May — 08 September 2019

The men and women captured by fashion and portrait photographer Vincent Peters often have two things in common. They are famous for reasons which make them familiar faces to most of us. And they act as a canvas on which we, as viewers, paint a picture which says more about us and modern times than it does about them. The exhibition Light Within, which opens on 24 May, showcases some 50 set pieces of shadow and light shaped by Peters.
