Fotografiska will soon move into the well-known abandoned department store on Oranienburger Strasse. Known as the Kunsthaus Tacheles from 1991 - 2011, the resident artist collective had considerable impact on the Berlin creative scene and offered a space for the arts, as well as bars and a clubs. Fotografiska ensures that the beloved building will once again be an open cultural center in the heart of Berlin’s Mitte district.
Our inclusive style invites all Berliners and the city’s visitors to see world-leading photography, to participate in cultural programming, and to join a community based on creativity and the arts that is open to all.
