Week 5- Wildlife

After nature and architecture, let’s try to photograph wildlife. For this week photography challenge, take the theme as a general guideline. 

For me the swan is the real wild ones - So beautiful and full of power.

So I try to find info online about my dream cameras from Hasselblad and for you that dont know its a Swedish manufacturer of medium format cameras.

The Hasselblad 500 series began with the revolutionary 500C, one of the most iconic cameras in photographic history. Modified throughout the years, the 500 series cameras represent the pinnacle of Victor Hasselblad's V System.

The 500C gained its true claim to fame after astronaut Walter Schirra took it with him on the Mercury rocket in 1962, becoming the first camera to properly document space.

DEVELOPMENT OF THE 500 CAMERAS

The development of the 500C led to multiple versions with various modifications. The 500C/M, launched in 1970, was fitted with an interchangeable focusing screen, including a prism viewfinder with a built-in exposure meter. Introduced in 1988, the 503CX was a critical advancement of the 500C/M, equipped with both a built-in flash control (OTF metering) and a very bright focusing screen. 

The Hasselblad came with a 12-shot magazine for 120 film. 6×6 negatives per roll and I love that format. I can't wait to try this camera.

Kodachrome - Film from 2017

 

Set during the final days of the admired photo development system known as Kodachrome, a father and son hit the road in order to reach the Kansas photo lab before it closes its doors for good.

This film did not get good grades but suited me who have a fever and had a theme that I liked. Love films like Kodachrome and never got to know my dad either.

Mamiya RZ67, Hasselblad C/M or 503CX?

So I got a question from my brother Peter. Do you want to loan a new camera? Mamiya RZ67, Hasselblad C/M or 503CX?

Todays mission will be to get facts on this three cameras so I can pic one.

On this old strange self-portrait I´m holding a Mamiya M645 that is also Peters. At the moment I have 3 cameras that is his. Mamiya M645, Pentax 67 and Mamiya 645E. I have not used them as I wanted. Covid arrived and I been waiting for life to get back to normal and it probably never will.

I need to find a new project that don't involve people.

So this weeks its Architecture in the challange and that is someting that I really like. I just need to pic one building in Stockholm and I need a good light. Guess that this will be this weekend. Dark when I go to work and when I leave..
