I took a look at the new IKEA catalog and was reminded when I read the text "your new exhibition" with the image of the cabinet Fabrikör and old cameras.
Fabrikör is the cabinets that I want for my camera collection, they are so beautiful.
Now I have put Agfa - Super Silette L in my bag and a new film, ready to take some pictures tomorrow. It's time to get started.
The Clack camera was manufactured by Agfa 1954-65. Earlier models had a metal body, later ones were made of plastic. This one is a plastic model from the 60´s and so beautiful!
It is a simple, boxlike camera, with a single-element 95mm meniscus lens with built-in close-up lens and yellow filter. It takes 6×9 cm pictures on 120 film.
Aperture f/11 and f/12.5
Shutter about 1/30 plus B
Zone focusing with two steps: 1-3m (3-10 feet) with a built-in close-up lens.
3m (10 feet)-infinity with just an aperture ring between the lens and the film.
The Clack is a light viewfinder camera. It works great with ISO 50 slide films like Velvia, so use it while you can still get that film. Black and white ISO 50 films, and overexposing 100 speed color negative by one stop ought to be fine.
Took out a box filled with negatives folders and photos from the 90's. Old negativ that I have not looked at in 10 years.
The first thing that comes is the smell, even a cat can not stop to smell and it´s a scent that makes me so happy.
Now when I started to shoot more film again, I will not have this mess.
I need to organize all the negatives from the start. And this weekend I will start scanning some of the 90´s music photos.
Next week I'll get an energy boost of pictures, will go on many exhibitions in Stockholm. Saw in the subway ad, the exhibition with Nick Brandt at Fotografiska. And it is the last week at Galleri Kontrast (Hornsgatan 8) "Fotosidan Masters 2016" pictures in the categories "Portrait", "Nature" and "Snapshots". Can't-miss that. Even if the photo exhibitions often makes me sad. It's a reminder that I can not afford to spend more time with the thing that I love - taking pictures.
Happiness, I got my DHL package with the new Nikon camera. The joy did not last long, the shutter did not work so I went and bought new batteries.
So a couple of hours later I was happy again, the camera works well and will go out tomorrow morning at 5.
Think that I will go into town and test shoot a film before I start to work in the morning, hope fora beautiful morning light over Stockholm.
23 Ninja Tips For Your Next Photo Walk
with Thomas Leuthard
Today I have test photograph with the Brownie Cresta camera and I got help from my son Calvin. Got to be my model.
30 degrees and sunny out today so we took a long walk. The photos I now put up is with my Fuji X-Pro1 camera that I also had with me. The film roll should I develop next week.
Close up 4-7 FT.. this is the only thing that you can choose when it comes to settings. So are curious to see what pictures I will get on Calvin.
I had seen a sign that there would be an event with classic cars yesterday. And I could not go there when I'm still don't feel so good.
So I went to the road with a few cameras to test them. Took a roll of film with Optima 1A and a roll with my new Agfa Super Silette - L. Realized pretty soon that it was a bit of a nightmare ..
One minute it was clouds and next full sunshine and strong cold winds. A bit hard when the cameras are completely manual and you have set the meter distance. Much to think about and then the high speed of the cars. Will be happy if some image has focus at the right place.
Luckily, I also took with me my Fujifilm X-Pro1 to document. So the pictures I posted are with my digital camera.
and some inspiration clip
I will do street photography this week with my cameras
