When planning a large project, to have order is important to me. So today I have arranged with 11 new boxes for all retro cameras and things I will need. One box for all negatives, one for documentation and so on.
I dont only collect old cameras, I collect old photo magazines aswell. I want as much camera advetising from 40´s -70´s that I can find (they are so cool).
Now I just need to heal my stomach. I want to start with this project this summer with lots of portraits.
Today I received a package from Germany. It was my business cards and a bag with advertising. Maybe a bit gray and boring but I think it might be good to leave a card when I photograph people in town, so they can see the pictures.

The Camera Lyrics:
Let me recreate the world for you.
there is no beginning and no end.
the camera is gonna be your best friend.
let me show you what i can do.
people turn into objects and in the end,
the camera is gonna be your best friend.
i'll take a picture of the world.
i'll take a picture of the world.
you become the camera becomes you.
celebrate a new pseudoevent:
the camera is gonna be your best friend.
the more it tells, the less you know.
it takes so long to comprehend:
the camera is gonna be your best friend.
i'll take a picture of the world.
i'll take a picture of the world.
When you selling things at auction it´s impossible not to have a look and bid on other cameras. These two beauties have I bid on (cheap) and I want both! The Brownie Starlet was a simple plastic fixed focus camera made by Kodak starting in 1957. It was one of the very successful "star" series of Brownies.
My last bargain was a Agfa Optima 1a. It looks completely unused, so I just had to buy it even though I already have one.
I think it is so beautiful and a fun camera to shoot with. cost only 60 sek (6 €)
To sponsor the new photo project, I started selling the stuff I do not use. Everything from clothes to cameras. Yesterday I put up my ad for my Nikon V1 on Tradera and the bid have started to come.
Have been home sick now for almost eight weeks, and the doctor says it will take 4 more weeks.
When all you can do is rest.. I dream and I plan the project and selling things online so I can afford more rolls of film and more fun cameras from flea markets later on.
Before the exhibition with Vivian Maier today I went to Bruno's Bildverkstad and bought 16 rolls of film. Knew I would get inspiration for my project "magic".
11x color films and 5x black & white so now I just need to get some more energy back before I start.
Exhibition with Vivian Maier: In her own hands is now finally in my town. Kulturhuset Stadsteatern, Stockholm –Sweden.
Was there today and got inspired, I want to go out with my camera again. It is not often you can find a more interesting story and if you have not seen her pictures and heard her story. Watch the documentary that I put up.
