Jar full of 101 themes

Tomorrow my training starts. 101 days of extra walking and photography. Each note in the jar has a theme. Good to start the day thinking about a picture instead of work.

Harvest time..

Children in the City, Photographs by Kary H. Lasch

Kary H. Lasch is known as a fashion and magazine photographer. Now, we showcase a different side of him. Here, children and the city take center stage. The images capture Stockholm from the early 1950s to the late 1960s. We follow Lasch on his walks, where he uses his Hasselblad camera to capture spontaneous moments of everyday life in his uniquely playful and curious way.

Kary H. Lasch. Born in Prague in 1914, Lasch made Stockholm the base for his international career. His work featured some of the biggest names in art and entertainment, including Picasso, Dalí, and Bardot, gracing magazine covers worldwide. At his passing in 1993, he left behind a legacy of nearly 500,000 photographs.

This exhibition is presented in collaboration with The Kary H. Lasch Archive and Collection, which has been digitizing and organizing this vast collection since 2019.

Visit the exhibition at Stockholm City Museum.

Fujifilm Simulation Recipes Guide - Fujifilm X

My new (old) camera arrived last week and I hate it. It's not the camera's fault. I have poor eyesight and use old Nikon lenses so only manual focus. I think I'll like the camera more if I get a newer lens from ex Viltrox and if I try some of the film simulation recipes from Jorge like the "Dark Knight". I will test that this weekend and post some of the pictures tomorrow evening.

Please check out Jorge Perez blog www.jperez.ca. I will do his film simulation recip "Dark Knight"

on my Fujifilm X-Pro1.

Jorge - I call it "Dark Knight". We need to modify the base Monochrome profile and the rest can be added as a custom profile in-camera. Here are some of the settings I've come up with:

Base Simulation: Monochrome

ISO: Try to keep it at 100 ISO when sunny

Dynamic Range: 100%

Sharpness: -1 (If you do not plan to edit your photographs in post, then leave it at 0)

Highlight Tone: +2

Shadow Tone: +2

Noise Reduction: -2 (It’s always recommended to set it to -2, ideally you could add a little noise reduction in post, but even if you don’t plan to edit the images, still put it to -2) and all info in below youtube

So here we go again ~ Fujifilm X-Pro 1

So here we go again. Fujifilm X-Pro 1 ❤ As I don't have much money my best option was to buy an old camera that I have loved before. This camera is from 2012 but I don't care. It's all about what you photograph. If you take a good picture, it doesn't matter how good your camera is.
