Kodak Retinette IB

Kodak Retinette IB

The name Retinette IB is used for two rigid-bodied, 35mm viewfinder cameras in the series of Retinettes made by Kodak AG in Germany.

The Type 037 camera was made between October 1959 and February 1963. It has a built-in coupled selenium meter made by Gossen; the meter readout is visible in the bright-line viewfinder, and is used by centering the meter needle. The lens is a Rodenstock Reomar 45mm f/2.8 in a Pronto-LK shutter, with speeds from 1/15 to 1/500 second, plus Bulb. The film is advanced with a lever, unusually mounted underneath the camera. This is made from plastic (and it is common to find Retinette IBs with a broken lever).
The known serial number range of the camera is from 50981 to 274266: thus if the series was continuous, a minimum of 224,266 type 037 cameras were made.

The Type 045 camera was made from February 1963 to 1966. It has a Prontor 500 LK shutter, with speeds up to 1/500 second, a hot shoe for flash, and a depth-of-field scale. The name on the top plate was changed from the 037's rising script typeface to a horizontal, sans-serif type. The known serial number range is from 285443 to 540065: again, if the series was continuous, a minimum of 254,623 type 045 cameras were made.

The Retinette IA is similar, but without the exposure meter. None of the Retinettes has a rangefinder: this feature is reserved to the Retina cameras.

Neither camera was imported by Eastman Kodak Company into the United States of America.

Lens: Rodenstock Reomar 45mm f/2.8
Shutters:
Pronto-LK (Type 037)
Prontor 500 LK, 1/15-1/500 + Bulb (Type 045)
Coupled Gossen selenium light meter
Uses 32mm push on filters

* This is a camera that I bid on right now so see if i get it tomorrow.

Linda McCartney & Mary McCartney | Mother Daughter
01 June — 02 September, 2018

This exhibition, Mother Daughter, first shown at the Gagosian Gallery in New York, is a treasure trove of moments derived from relaxed interactions with family, a dazzling array of celebrities–Aretha Franklin, Jimi Hendrix, B.B King, Mick Jagger, Brian Jones, Kate Moss, Rihanna – and everyday life. There is an almost tangible shared sensibility between mother and daughter in how they establish an emotional rapport with their subjects and exact a sense of their true selves.

Simen Johan
Until the Kingdom Comes
15 June — 23 September, 2018

Combining image elements that he photographed in a variety of international locations, Johan's images reveal poetic and often unexpected relationships that speak to the illusory and multifaceted nature of existence. Stripes on a dazzle of Grévy's zebras mesh with the fronds of geographically incongruent palms; jaguars in a tree are both defined and obscured by their spots and dappled sunlight; pigeons flock towards light like moths (or angels).

Fotografiska For Life/Civilian Act
A roof over your head – the face of the housing crisis
19 June — 10 September, 2018

On behalf of Fotografiska, journalistic production company Civilian Act has produced the Fotografiska For Life exhibition A roof over your head – the face of the housing crisis. We get to meet people affected by this harmful development and to witness the negative repercussions for both individuals and the whole of society. The exhibition will be displayed on Fotografiska's façade, as well as in the ruins of Saint Catherine's church on the island of Gotland during Almedalen Week, a major annual political event in Sweden.

My new beauty - Baldessa 1 camera from 1958

BALDESSA 1. BALDANAR 1: 2,8/ 45 BALDA WERK BUNDE. GERMANY 1958

The Baldessa is a range of comparatively cheaply-made 35mm viewfinder and rangefinder cameras produced by Balda in Germany from c.1957 to the late 1960s

The Baldessa I was introduced in 1957 with a Westanar 45/2.8 lens in a Prontor-SVS shutter. It was updated in 1958 to have a bright-line finder, with a second window to illuminate the frame. This model has a Baldanar, Color-Isconar or Westanar 45mm/f2.8 lens in a 3-speed Vario, Pronto, Prontor 125 or Prontor-SVS shutter. The base has a film reminder fitted around the tripod bush, and the rewind release is angled out to form a foot for standing on a horizontal surface.

My new Adox Polomat 1 camera from 1960

ADOX POLOMAT 1, SCHNEIDER-KEUZNACH RADIONAR L 1:2,8/45. 1960

The Polomat 1 Camera was manufactured by ADOX in 1960. Very similar to the original Polomat 35mm camera. The camera was constructed of metal covered in leather with the exposed metal chromed. It was fitted with a Schneider Radionar L f 2.8 45 mm lens in a Prontor 500 LK shutter providing six speeds from 1/15th to 1/500th of a second, plus bulb and self timer. A built-in precision exposure meter is coupled to the shutter.

Can not stop buying cameras from the 50s - 60s. The shape, simplicity and so beautiful. This one I got for only 90 sek - Happy!

Test pictures with lenses and music with Hocico

Lens: 7artisans 2
5mm f1.8

* Minolta mc rokkor pg 50mm - 30 years old.

Try the lenses I borrowed at the last moment. I took some test pictures, completely worthless, knowing that both of these lenses would be awesome if you were shooting outside and not in a mirror like I did.

I took a nice portrait with Minolta 50mm that I will put up another day.

Put in a film in a Diana Mini and music with Dataman

Its time to put film in my new Diana and have to start by deciding whether to take 72 half pictures or 36 full frame. I do not recommend to mixing. It's not good for the photo lab, so stick to a format all the film. My film will be the 72 photos for this camera.
